    Hello,

    When connecting to a TV that has the PVR function (the formatting option is directly offered on some TVs as soon as the USB flash drive is inserted into the TV's USB port...) and if the formatting suggestion is not provided in that case, you need to go into the TV menu that allows you to format USB drives or hard disks.

    This solution is also possible with HD TNT adapters that have the PVR function.

    Afterwards, there is surely a possibility of finding quite easily nowadays a person (a family member...) or a neighbor close to you who has a computer!

    I had also thought about the method proposed by MPMP10 (whom I greet).

    But it's not certain that it will work. The TV will format the drive in such a way that it can only be used on the television.

    That’s what I see on my TV (Philips).

    It's a bit better. But some file managers format by creating folders that are used under Android: these will need to be deleted.

    In any case, it is a quick format that does not destroy the files, but merely clears the allocation table.

    If you really want to erase the contents of the drive, you will have to use a computer and not choose the "quick format" option.

      I have done it several times and on several brands of televisions, and the format is supported by the PC without any problems on my part.

        I have no other options. It is implicit that if I format the drive, it is to make recordings on the television (which is quite logical).
