Hello!

I'm reaching out to you regarding a rather annoying issue. When I try to open an app like Firefox, Outlook, or others from my taskbar, they simply don't open and display this message: "This file does not have an application associated to perform this action. Please install a program or, if a program is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps settings page." I've already tried several tricks such as modifying settings in the registry, sfc/scannow - dism, changing the default apps, and using a local administrator account, but I don't know what else to do ^^"

Thank you in advance, sincerely Izieuxx ^^

Hi again,

Check Chrome as well.

Go to the top right of the window and then select More.

Settings: and see the apps that are checked.

You go to Extensions and see which ones are checked.

Then you open the link posted in message 9 and read it.

Hello,

You right-click on an empty spot on the taskbar and then click on: Task Manager; a window opens with the word at the top: Processes.

You look for: Windows Explorer, right-click on it, then go to the bottom right and click on End Task.

The desktop will disappear, and then you right-click again at the bottom like on the taskbar and in processes you go to the top on File:

Run new task and there you type: explorer.exe and the desktop should reappear, or you type: Windows Explorer if it doesn’t come back.

Check later if the taskbar is working again.

Hello,

Yes, I looked into it and I don't really see what could be causing this,

Anyway, I solved the problem by doing a complete reinstall of Windows 11 (it was simpler ^^")

Thank you anyway for being so involved in my request!

Best regards, Izieuxx
