Unable to update Chrome

Good evening,
I am encountering a problem with Google Chrome for the past few days on one of my computers.
Indeed, I can no longer update it. I consistently receive the following error message:
An error occurred while checking for updates: Failed to start the update check (error code 1: 0X80004005 -- system level).
Version 122.0.6261.129 (Official build) (64-bit)
I tried resetting Chrome with ResetBrowser. To no avail.
I also attempted to uninstall/reinstall Chrome, but that does not work and I receive the following error message...
"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."
What are the solutions to repair Chrome on this computer?
Thank you.
Have a good evening.

Hello,
Chrome seems to be corrupted. Try uninstalling it using Revo Uninstaller. If you get the same error message with Windows Installer, select advanced mode in Revo for a complete uninstallation.
Once the uninstallation is complete, restart your computer, then reinstall Chrome by downloading it from this page.
Hi
this Windows Installer package
To help those who might assist you
You need all the Windows info and PC configuration
It's not the first time I've seen someone in this situation (a Windows update???)
For now, start another browser and set it as the default browser.

Hello
Starting with Windows, there may be an issue with the installer, and a troubleshooting tool is available for that.
https://journaldutech.com/windows-installer-ne-fonctionne-pas/
Remember to update Windows.
Also, check the antivirus that might not recognize the latest version as the same program and block it.
If everything goes well after the tool, try re-downloading the latest version of Chrome onto the desktop, completely uninstalling Chrome, and reinstalling it.
Ps: Given the CPU, it doesn't cost anything to run a little hard drive test with CrystalDiskInfo.
Set it to French and just select the disk to check, there’s a test program for HDDs and another for SSDs. The rest doesn't change anything, we're not doing a burn-in test.
Green or blue is good, orange means you might want to change the disk, except for temperature, that's more about the PC cooling and dust.

Thank you for the clarification HelpiOS.
I just added that before the Windows Installer check and updates for Windows 10, there had already been some blockages.
Thank you for your response.
Unfortunately, the problem persists even with Revo Uninstaller. I receive the same error message when I try to uninstall Chrome.
Even in case of failure, Revo should offer you to perform a scan for a forced uninstallation. In the "Scan and Uninstallation Execution" window, click on Advanced > Scan. Then click on Select All > Delete > Next.
However, before reinstalling Chrome, I think you'll need to reinstall Windows, as it seems damaged. Try a system file repair first. You can also wait for bell's return for other solutions.
Indeed, it eventually worked!
I was able to uninstall Chrome and I performed a system file repair.
I reinstalled Chrome, but to do so, I had to check "no" in the installation launch dialog box. This allowed the process to start. Is this problematic or does it not change anything?
By checking "yes," it would start "Get Ready," then get stuck.
In any case, Chrome seems to be up to date now.
Thank you very much!
Perfect! If the reinstallation of Chrome was successful, then there’s no problem. For the repair of system files, were the corrupted files repaired? Can you install the updates for Windows now?
