Issue after Chrome update

Hello,

I had the bad idea of updating Chrome (Version 120.0.6099.217 (Official build) (64-bit)

and since then the browsing experience is completely different; I uninstalled/reinstalled and it’s still the same, I don’t understand.

Have you encountered the same problem? What’s the point of offering a Chrome update if it’s just going to mess everything up?

Thank you for your help

Hello,

Download Shadow Explorer 0.9 Portable here:

https://www.shadowexplorer.com/downloads.html

Extract the entire folder somewhere, and run ShadowExplorerPortable.exe

Select your C:\ drive if you haven't already.

Choose a date when your files were there.

Navigate to Users > Your name > AppData > Local

Your old Google\Chrome installation should be there.

Right-click on your Google folder and click on Export

Choose a destination...

If you want to reset Chrome instead,

You can download the Offline setup for Chrome under Download Chrome Offline Installer

https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95346?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop

Save your bookmarks (Important)

Uninstall Chrome from the control panel > Programs and Features

Then search for %LocalAppData% and delete the Google folder

Reinstall Chrome, and import your bookmarks

Hello

You are confusing the Gmail icon with the Google Chrome one.

The version is correct.

Hello,

I am using the same version of Chrome and I can assure you that there are no browsing issues.

There have been no other negative feedback on the forum regarding this version.

The problem is therefore certainly on your side.

Follow fabul's advice to reinstall the previous version, or switch browsers (Firefox, Edge for example).

What is well understood is clearly expressed,
And the words to say it come easily.

Thank you, I reset Chrome by deleting the %LocalAppData% and it works again. I don't know what happened.

Thank you
