Block SMS read receipts

Hello,

When I receive a SMS or MMS for which the sender has requested a read receipt, I would like to be able to disable the sending of that (apparently automatic) receipt.

Is there a way to do this?

    Hello.

    Just go to the settings of the "messages" app, then in the advanced settings there is an option regarding read receipts, you just need to uncheck it.

      Hello,

      Thank you for your reply, but this setting is for requesting a read receipt or not. However, I would like to not automatically send a read receipt when I receive an SMS that asks for one!

        It all depends on the app you are using to receive SMS; if you don’t have an option in the settings, it means your app does not allow it.
