MMS sending and receiving issues on Poco X3
NathalieB. Posted messages 1 Status Membre -
I have a Xiaomi Poco X3 for a year and a half, I had never had any issues, but for the past week I have been unable to send or receive MMS. I hadn't changed any settings, it happened suddenly (I noticed it at the same time as a system update, but I can't remember if I had the problem before this update or if it happened afterwards).
I've tried everything, I restored the network settings and did a complete factory reset, but it still doesn't work, although the APN settings are correct.
I also tested my SIM card in another device and I found that there was no malfunction there, so the issue doesn't come from my SIM card but definitely from my phone...
Can anyone help me??
Thanks in advance

Hello,
I have tested like many others, all possible tests.
The solution that worked is to create a new APN with the parameters below:
Note: you probably already have an Orange World APN, you must absolutely recreate one with the information below:
- Name: Orange World
- APN: orange
- Proxy: Not defined (by default)
- Port: Not defined (by default)
- Username: orange
- Password: orange
- Server: Not defined (by default)
- MMSC : http://mms.orange.fr
- MMS Proxy: Not defined (by default)
- MMS Port: Not defined (by default)
- MCC : 208 (by default)
- MNC: 01
- Authentication type :
- APN type: default,supl,mms,dun,xcap
- APN protocol: IPv4/IPv6
- APN roaming protocol: IPv4
- Enable/disable APN: APN enabled (by default)
- Network: 3G+, EVDO_B, eHRPD, LTE, HSPAP, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, IS95A, IS95B, 1xRTT, EVDO_0, EVDO_A, HSDPA, NR, HSUPA
- MVNO type : None (by default)
- MVNO value: Not defined (by default)
If you are talking about the FREE plan at €2 which includes 50 MB of "internet," you should know that sending MMS requires data (referred to as "internet" at Free, but that's a misuse of language).
Your plan therefore has 50 MB of data: to send MMS and/or to connect to the internet.
If you exceed the 50 MB of data included in your plan, you will definitely incur an additional charge for sending MMS.
With this type of plan, it is advisable to prioritize the use of Wi-Fi and sending SMS.
Share your photos via another application (WhatsApp, FB Messenger, Signal,....)
I also need this feature for my work because I receive my schedules, etc. by MMS.
It bothers me to have to change my phone just for that when I'm satisfied with it and everything else works ????

It seems to be working, both MMS and internet. I'm writing to you via my phone without Wi-Fi!
Have you contacted the operator to find out the necessary APN settings?
Once provided, please enter them.
Just because you haven't touched them doesn't mean they're still good. An update could have removed them.
If not, have you tried another SMS/MMS app other than the default one?

If despite changing the app and having the correct settings, it's still not operational, then Oppo messed up their update, in which case contact your retailer; they should honor the warranty within two years of purchase.
Be careful to contact the seller, not the manufacturer; you'll waste time and be misled, but stand firm, it's the seller's responsibility to provide you with a functional product...
Yesterday, an Orange advisor gave me an APN configuration, the MMS work with it but with this configuration, I no longer have access to the internet. I contacted Orange again and they told me that they do not have an APN configuration for the phone because it was not sold by Orange...
So still no solution.

hoping that it works.
+ I have indeed activated my data roaming (but I don't think that is the issue).
I have exactly the same issue with my Poco M3, impossible to send or receive MMS. However, I can browse the web with Chrome. I'm with Free Mobile, I tried to adjust the APN settings for Free. Nothing seems to work.
Hello
Same problem for a few weeks: unable to send or receive MMS except with those who have Chat mode activated.
Even with a full reset, still the same problem.
On another phone with the same SIM card, it works.
I followed the steps below by creating a second APN Orange World

Thank you all for your help. Long live updates.
