Issue with photo display received via SMS

Question

Hello,I have a Xiaomi Redmi 8 Pro. For some time now, no matter which photo is sent to me via SMS or MMS, when I click on it to open it, it always shows a different photo (the same one every time). I should specify that I deleted it from the gallery.Has anyone experienced the same issue and managed to resolve it?Thank you for your help and everyone.Configuration: Windows / Chrome 83.0.4103.61

My mother is experiencing the same issue. In the phone settings in the SMS app, I had cleared the cache and everything I could, which fixed the problem, but it came back three days later. I know she systematically deletes each message; is that related?
If this lasts, I will switch to another SMS management app.

Settings, apps, manage apps, messaging, clear cache data (empty the cache) of the messaging app. Problem solved on my Redmi Note 8T.
