I have a riddle but I can't solve it: Sometimes I'm called Charlotte and sometimes Amandine. I can be Religious, or even Financial. Who am I?

    Good evening?

I am asking my question, but it is off-topic as it often concerns leisure related to computers.

    So I say thank you.

Otherwise: I am a pastry shop.

    Best regards.

    Hello

    This is the potato.

Charlotte and Amandine are two varieties.

The financier and the religious are two culinary preparations that can be made with potatoes. (I didn't know that; thanks Google).

What is well conceived is clearly stated,
And the words to say it come easily.

      Hello, dear friend Pierr10.

Sorry, but I rarely see potatoes in pastry, and certainly never for financiers or religieuses!

      Recipe for 15 financiers:

      Ingredients for the religieuse :

      • Flour + Butter + Water + Eggs + Salt
        (choux pastry)
      • Dark chocolate + Cornstarch + Flour + Egg yolks + Sugar + Milk + Salt (pastry cream)
      • Sugar + Butter + Egg yolks
        (buttercream)
      • Dark chocolate + Milk + Icing sugar
        (glaze)

        Hello,

Nothing suggests that the answer should be a pastry, otherwise it wouldn't be a riddle.

Although it's almost certainly the answer, Pierr10's response is also valid, as the origin of the potato financier is obviously in Noirmoutier (and is indeed a pastry, made with potatoes); as for the religieuse (which it is not), I don't know, perhaps it's just the whim of a few chefs.

        Hello,

I did write: what can be done with potatoes.

It's true that it's not common, and I prefer the traditional version!

That said, and without necessarily getting into "sweet-salty" "agreements" that can be loud and sometimes serve no purpose other than to draw attention to their creator by reinventing the wheel, for example potato pancakes, it can be delicious.
