Wifi not working, network card ⚠️
Barbosa -
Hello,
I have a problem with my laptop (Swift SF514-55GT); it doesn't connect to Wi-Fi, and when it does, it's never for long. I've already tried a few measures that worked, but never for long.
- Network reset
- Uninstalling the network card
- Uninstalling updates
- Installing the latest drivers directly (from Acer's page)
- Resetting the laptop
The network card shows up with a "⚠️" and it's an Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz with driver 23.20.0.
Windows 11 doesn’t even show any networks, and when I press help, it either says to enable Wi-Fi or that I am connected to a virtual network adapter.
This issue is very common with SWIFT laptops, but I can't find a solution. If someone could help me, I would appreciate it.
Thank you in advance

Hello,
There's no mystery; on a reset PC where the network card is malfunctioning, either it's faulty, or you haven't installed the correct driver, or there isn't one available from Acer for Windows 11 and the one intended for Windows 10 is not compatible.-
The computer is 2 years old, it's unlikely to be broken, because 1 time out of 3 I can connect to the wifi. So the solution is to go back to W10?
I just followed the help from the Acer community, I don’t know what to do anymore, because if the network card were broken, I would never have had Wi-Fi and I sometimes do. I find it strange because it's a problem that often occurs with Acer Swifts and I can't seem to find a solution. Maybe I should buy a new motherboard that could support Windows 11.

Hello,
could you check the reception level of your wifi card?
netsh wlan show interfaces
There is 1 interface on the system : Name : Wi-Fi Description : Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz GUID : 0dd7a875-192f-4e84-b3c9-34cc6be695aa Physical address : 62:00:08:d6:ac:e9 Interface type : Primary State : connected SSID : PA2 BSSID : 9c:53:22:32:9a:f3 Network type : Infrastructure Radio type : 802.11ax Authentication : WPA3-Personal (H2E) Encryption : CCMP Connection mode : Automatic connection Band : 5 GHz Channel : 36 Reception (Mbits/s) : 961 Transmission (Mbits/s) : 865 Signal : 84% Profile : PA2 Hosted network status: Not availableit could be a broken antenna, that happens, a laptop can easily take a fall.
And there you go, there you have it ....
But what a pain the line spacing is!!
