Hello everyone,

I bought a TP-Link WiFi dongle today, model TL-WN725N.

When I tested it on my desktop PC, it only detected one router while my laptop next to it detects about twenty networks, including the one I want to connect to: SmartCampus (network installed in the university dorms).

I tried the dongle on my laptop after disabling the network card, and it detected all networks.

Here is my setup:
CPU AMD Athlon II X4 640
Motherboard Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2

Operating System: 16.04. Ubuntu

Thank you for your help.

My laptop is an Aspire 5741G with an Intel Core i3 processor and runs on Windows 7 Home Premium.

I can now connect to the SmartCampus network with my desktop computer, but the laptop does not detect any other networks nearby (even though there are more than twenty).
