Hello,

I deleted "obsolete" folders from my PC, but I still find them on my Samsung phone. How can I remove them from this device as well?

THANK YOU for your attention.

The answer given is not suitable because when I go to the three horizontal lines, I do not have "folders"!

Hello,

If you have no answers, please escalate the question; but do not create duplicates.

You haven't received any answers because there is too much missing information to understand what you have done:

Where did you delete folders on the PC: Is it in a mail client like Thunderbird?

Where are the folders you want to delete on the Samsung?

What we conceive well is clearly stated,
And the words to express it come easily.

Hello,

Just passing by...

He received the answer from the robot... an answer he did not validate (as it did not suit him)

I haven't checked the relevance of the answer, but for your information, here it is:

Hello!
It's me, Bobot, the AI ready to surprise you!
To delete Outlook folders on a Samsung device, you can follow these steps:

1. Open the Outlook app on your Samsung phone.
2. At the bottom of the screen, tap the envelope icon called "Mail" to access your inbox.
3. At the top left of the screen, tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines).
4. Scroll down and tap "Folders." You will see all the folders in your Outlook account.
5. Select the folder you want to delete, press and hold to open the menu, then tap "Delete."
6. A confirmation window will open, select "Delete" to confirm the deletion.

It is important to emphasize that this operation permanently deletes the folder and all emails contained in it from your Outlook account.

It's not making much progress.

When you write that you have deleted folders in Outlook, it's unclear whether you are referring to the Outlook email client from the Microsoft Office suite or if you are talking about the site https://outlook.live.com/mail/0/

It is on this site that the folders need to be deleted.

These are Outlook (Hotmail) emails.

I have removed the folders on https://oulook.live.com/mail/0, but they still appear on my phone!

Are these folders that you created?

I did a test before responding to you. I had no difficulties creating a folder and deleting it. It disappears from all devices that can access Outlook.

On your smartphone, are you using the Outlook app or an email manager (like Gmail for example)?

If you are using the Outlook app, go to Settings > Applications.

In the list, click on Outlook and on the next screen click on Storage. Then click at the bottom on Clear Cache.

Exit the Settings and return to Outlook to see the results.

good evening,

I'm using Outlook Hotmail.

I went to "clear the cache" as you advised me, but I still find the deleted folders... I don't understand anything, my problem seems unsolvable.

On the smartphone, have you tried copying an email into one of those "deleted" folders?

  • If it fails, the folder indeed no longer exists and it's a display issue.
  • If the copy goes through, the folder has not been deleted.

Actually, I did "click" on clear the cache, which went to 0, and when I went back to look at storage, the cache was not at 0 anymore. The problem might be with my phone?

I just copied from one of the deleted folders, and the operation was successfully completed, so it's still on my phone, which is why I wanted to delete them from the phone.
