Printhead cleaning impossible

Hello everyone,

Here is my problem: the printing has been poor for some time now (streaks on printouts), so I decided to align the print heads and clean them. I have an HP Deskjet 2723e that is almost new; it’s just under a year old and I don’t use it very often.

However, when I try to clean the print heads, I either get a message saying: "your device is busy, please wait for the print jobs to finish" or "ready, please resolve this issue and try again".

Yet, the printer is marked as ready and there are no print jobs in progress.

I have tried to start the cleaning via the computer and directly by pressing the buttons on the printer. I also restarted it, but nothing works; I always receive the same two messages when I attempt to clean.

Do you have any advice on how to resolve this issue?

Perhaps there are updates that need to be done, but I don’t know where to check for that.

Thanks in advance.

Hello.

For the drivers, it's here Drivers/hp-deskjet-2700e-all-in-one.

Hello everyone,

"(printhead alignments)": (stripes) not sure if the printheads need to be aligned.

"when I want to clean the printheads": it might be that the alignment is still in progress...

It shouldn't be very visible and certainly not fast. So, these alignments haven't been done yet (unless there was a message indicating that to you?...) and the cleaning of the printheads should only be done after the alignments are completed, hence the messages ["your device is busy, please wait for the print jobs to finish" or "ready, please resolve this issue and try again"].

Best regards!
