USB Ports in D3
SolvedKayennais -
Hello,
On a LAPTOP J1T09DIP, the two USB ports are no longer working; they are in D3.
What actions should be taken to resolve this issue?
Thank you in advance.

hi Ulysse5818
I can't find anything for LAPTOP J1T09DIP
would it be a laptop??
assuming it's running Windows 10
you right-click on the Windows logo, and then on "Device Manager"

Hello,
Yes, it's a 15-inch HP.
It has almost finished installing W11 version 23 H 2, I'll try the operation after.
It must be that one.

Hello,
This is the random name that Windows assigns to the PC until it's changed, Laptop or Desktop Tartempion.
The system info menu (msinfo) is not always very helpful; it often only includes the type, for example Victus 15-fa0xxx, while there are several models depending on the values of x.
If you can’t remember what you bought, searching by serial number (stickered on the PC) on the HP website will provide the exact reference. There is no concentrator...only: host controller, root USB hub, and composite USB device. Should I delete these 3 lines?
Same punishment.

So you need to check the link in Panth33ra's first post that points to Malekal's site.

Also the download page = https://support.hp.com/fr-fr/drivers/hp-15-dy0000-laptop-pc/model/2101047582?sku=615D0EA
This PC is practically free of data, do you think that a repair or installation without data loss would solve the problem? If so, what method should be used?

OK, not very important
1°) As a precaution, you will first verify > the product key for Windows 11 <; this page on CCM will tell you the procedure to follow
and write it down on a medium (possibly for later)
2°) you can reinstall W11 without losing data, to solve your problem (be careful with the reinstallation)
a procedure > on CCM <
- either create a USB drive (on an 8 GB stick)
- or directly via the internet on the Cloud

I just finished reinstalling W11 and the USB ports still don't work.. Do you think a reset would have a better chance?

Hello,
Re-read the response #19 from old buffalo in a box whom I greet. Everything is in his response.
hi
with a laptop, he's out of luck, no HDD or USB key as standard
fingers crossed that the USB 3.1 Type-C port isn't on the same side, which should be the case
at first glance his touchpad still works, he reinstalled W11 (it's not the same circuit)
> USB <=> USB type C cable < long. 90 cm, or 1.8 m
and > USB <=> USB type C adapter <
there's also > USB and USB type C hub <

The problem has found its solution...in fact, the 2 USB ports are powered by the BOX....once connected to the box, everything works...such is life..
