EPSON xp 2100 HS printer

My printer refuses any use - completely blocked - not even scanning.
ERROR 033001
Message:
1. Cancel all print jobs.
2. Open the scanner unit and remove any jammed paper.
3. Close the unit and turn the printer off, then back on.
The problem is that there are no print jobs to cancel, no jammed paper, and even after reinstalling the software + turning it off: Nothing has changed!
I suspect a fault with the paper detector: Where is it located?
I would have much preferred to repair it than to throw away a recoverable machine!!!
Thank you for your help.
Best regards.

Hello,
You shouldn't make duplicate POSTs...
How long has it been since she printed..?
Is it possible to make a photocopy..? using only the printer's buttons... and ignoring the computer..?
-- Dirt or dust can cause poor detections, including the paper sensor..
-- The paper sensor consists of several components... including the paper feed seen by the optical strobe wheel... The empty paper tray... and the absence in the rollers... there's a switch with a tab... or a lever that cuts a light beam in an optical fork...
You can reread this POST https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-37366972-epson-xp-245-bloquee-erreur-code-033001
It's also possible that this message is not entirely true... but because of something else..??
It remains possible that a failure is hidden underneath... a broken gear, detached springs, bad contacts with the cables, etc..
