Bluetooth Peugeot 208

Hello,

I'm having a problem with pairing my smartphone to my 208. As soon as the car detects my phone, it automatically dials my number without my phone ringing... and I can't hang up the call. I've tried unpairing both but without success... if anyone has a clue... thanks in advance

Maybe there’s already another phone paired with this car..? Very often it doesn't like competition..!

Every car has its own procedure... you need to read the operating manual in the car’s handbook... and start from scratch.

Is the BT version of your smartphone compatible with that of your car..? Does it have Bluetooth..?

Hello and thank you for your help. This behavior is sudden, it was working fine yesterday.

Indeed, there is another paired phone, I will try to remove it...

If not, I will try to reset the device, I was hoping not to have to go that route...

Stand in the middle of a field to do that..! To avoid having other BTs around you that are doing a clandestine pairing..

Otherwise, make sure of the versions of BTs... An update can change everything..

Thanks again. The pairing is fine, but the BT updates are beyond me...

Hello,

Normally, the car should ask to confirm a Bluetooth source before pairing, otherwise anyone could connect to it in the middle of traffic.

Indeed, the second paired phone belongs to a friend, but until now it hasn't been an issue, assuming that's where it comes from.
