Hello,

I'm looking for the "restore ac power loss" option in my BIOS but I can't find it. I'm using an NZXT motherboard.

Thank you!

    Hello

Without the exact model of the motherboard, it will be complicated to answer....

That said, this parameter is specific, what do you need it for?

It consists of forcing a restart after a power cut....(if the PC was already on), so it's totally useless.

Generally, this parameter is found in the BIOS of motherboards dedicated to workstations, thus professional hardware, or on server boards. There, we can see the utility.

For retail motherboards aimed at the general public, I don't think I'm mistaken in saying that this parameter is rare; I've only seen it on some Asus models.

So it's not surprising that you can't find it on yours.

It's found on Asus, and on my Lenovo as well. Personally, when I'm away, I leave my PC on so I can access it remotely if needed, and I want it to restart by itself after a power cut, so yes, it's a very useful setting in my case for example.

If the setting is not in the BIOS, it's because the option is unfortunately not supported.

In case of a storm, with 3 or 4 successive power cuts or voltage drops in 5 or 10 minutes, we can see what it can lead to.....

to access data remotely, the cloud.

Plugged into a surge protector, I've never had any issues. Personally, I have an allergy to the Cloud, and I sometimes need access to my software, which is impossible on the Cloud.
