Instagram account blocked authentication codes/lost recovery

Hello,

I can't log into my Instagram account because I don't have my two-factor authentication codes, and I can't recover them since I no longer have access to my account. Also, using an authentication app doesn't work either because I need to retrieve the key from the app as well.

I don't know how to proceed since I can't recover anything because I no longer have access to my account.

If you don't have the credentials to access your account, you can't do anything. You need to deal with Instagram, but generally, they don't respond or the response takes a very long time to arrive. I have my credentials, that's not the issue; it's just the authentication and/or backup codes that I no longer have.

There are thousands of cases like yours on the forum; if you consult them, you will realize that the solution can only come from Instagram itself, it is the only one that can act on the accounts.

The link you sent me is for disabled accounts, but mine is not disabled; I just don't have my codes and when I fill out the form you told me about, it says I can't submit the form because the account is active.

As I already told you, without the codes you won't be able to do anything unless you find the account that you use to retrieve these codes; without that, it will be impossible to recover anything.

You need to recover the contact email account you provided in your Instagram profile; it's to this email account that your codes are sent.

Since you no longer have access to traditional recovery methods, I think recovering your account is going to be very, very, very complicated, if not more likely impossible. As for contacting Instagram, for regular users, there is no way other than the online forms, see Radinoz's response below.

No need to create duplicates...

Instagram does not have an email contact address... You need to use the online forms found in the FAQ...

Follow this:

  1. Open the Instagram app. At the bottom of the screen, tap on Forgot password?.
  2. Enter your username and tap Next.
  3. At the bottom of the screen, tap on Can't reset your password?
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to send a help request.
