FAVORITES and BRAVE

Hello everyone and thank you in advance to those who will advise me.
Since Netscape and Internet Explorer, I have a long list of favorites; I have just installed BRAVE and I see that it is possible to import favorites.
I created a file that contains all the favorites, so I want to import the favorites not from Google because the directory is on an external drive and I click on the interesting subject. Thus, I do not have any stored favorites but since it is possible to import into Brave favorites from browsers, there are 2 options:
- import my Favorites directory directly into Brave, but I haven't found a way to do so,
- launch Edge, import favorites, then transfer to Brave. I should specify that I don't like Edge, whereas I appreciated IE after Netscape, because Edge pushes ads too much. Sorry for the big letters, but I am an old man!
Best regards to those who will respond to me.

Hello,
I think you first need to export the favorite "files" in the form of a listed file in HTML or JSON, which you will then find with Brave and import.
Maybe this could help you.
Thank you for your response, which I will use if my new idea is good. I have an old laptop that is well-equipped: i7 and 32 GB of RAM, but I bought it in 2014, so it is 9 years old and has remained on Windows 7 with Internet Explorer still installed.
I add the most recent favorites from a file to the Toshiba, and I should be able to transfer from the old one to the new PC, which has been disappointing since I bought it last year: very slow to display, only 8 GB of RAM, and only 1 usable USB port; I made a mistake, but I don't have the option to replace it.
Thank you and best regards.
