HP Victus PC power on issue

Hello, my HP Victus laptop is no longer charging and won't turn on. I tested the current, and there are 19 volts going to the motherboard, but it doesn't reach the battery. Even though it's possible to power laptops without a battery, this one won't turn on. I've searched the internet but found no solution. Thank you for your help, regards.

Hello, you should try starting without the battery, just with the power supply, and then even if nothing appears on the screen after insisting on the On button, you should unplug the power supply and connect both the battery and the power supply. This is just based on personal experience with a power outage and a battery that is at the end of its life or dead.

Good evening, I've tried several times but without much success; however, I think the problem lies with the motherboard because power is reaching it but the board doesn't distribute the power to the components of the computer.

Hello; you need to check that the power supply delivers current under load and not just verify its output voltage.

Good evening, I tested it but nothing is coming through to the battery.

You need to check that the base is still soldered to the motherboard, and if not, you should trace the path from the + to see if a surface-mounted component isn't burnt out. But at this stage of verification, it's more likely that the issue is much more serious than a simple power supply failure.

Thank you, I took it to the repair shop and they told me it was a motherboard problem.

Hello. I'm experiencing the same issue. The charger was dead, so I bought another one. In the meantime, the laptop ran out of battery. Since then, it won't start up using any of the methods. If it's a recurring motherboard problem with this model, that would really suck. Or maybe the repair technician didn't bother and just wants to make money. Meanwhile, the problem persists...
