Thunderbird: issue with IMAP subfolders

Hello everyone,
I use Thunderbird on both Windows and Linux with the Laposte.net mail server.
When I create an IMAP folder with Thunderbird and I use the character "/" it creates a subfolder, e.g.: folder/subfolder/subsubfolder.
The problem is that these folders appear in italics and greyed out, and above all I can no longer delete them. They disappear when I delete but if I turn Thunderbird off and on again they reappear in the Trash. On Laposte's webmail they do not appear. If I recreate under webmail the same folder it takes the place of the folder (greyed, italic) becoming normal (not greyed or italic), but if I delete it with Thunderbird or the webmail the same problem occurs.
Thunderbird bug ?????
THANK you to help if you have knowledge of this problem.
Best regards
Configuration: win XP Linux Ubuntu

I had a similar problem. A shaded italic folder means the subscription is for the folder but the folder no longer exists. So you need to unsubscribe from the folder and its subfolders (right-click one of the account's folders, "Unsubscribe...").
Normally that's fine.
If the folder still exists:
- make sure the subscription is disabled for the folder(s) in question
- close Thunderbird
- delete the corresponding cache folder(s) from the cache (the .msf and .sdb files)
- restart Thunderbird.
That should be OK.
