WORD - Dashed box impossible to remove

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to read my problem and trying to help me solve it. ????

When I open a Word file (existing or new), all the non-line lines have a dotted box around them. It’s not a dotted border, it’s as if the entire line in question is selected.

Impossible to remove it, I’ve looked in the settings and display options and I can't get rid of it, do you have any idea on your end?

Here are several screenshots to illustrate my problem:

1. Screenshot of an empty Word file:

Capture 1: Word without text2. Screenshot of a Word file with text:

Capture 2: Word with text

Thank you again for your time!

See you soon and have a great day.

Bye bye

    ..

    (... end)

I think that, whether intentionally or not, you have modified the options in your version of Word.

I invite you to check that the "show text boundaries" option has not been checked on your computer.

      Aaah THANK YOU very much!

Indeed, you understood it wasn't intentional and I couldn't find the option that managed that.

Thanks again for solving my problem :)

The checkbox is indeed in Options > Advanced options > Display content of documents

    Hello.

You know well that you can't get much from a photo, not even two!

    Instead, send your file ...

     1) Go to https://www.cjoint.com/
     2) Click on [Browse] to select the file (max 15 MB)
     3) Scroll down to click on the blue button [Create Cjoint link]
     4) After a few seconds, the second page will appear, with the link in bold; right-click on it and choose "Copy link"
     5) Go back to the discussion on CCM, and in your message do "Paste".

      Hello,

The issue is that sending a file won't help you at all, I think. I opened a file with this problem on another PC and the dotted box is no longer there. So sending it won't be of any use, which is why I took screenshots instead, because if you can’t see my problem, I don’t see how you would have been able to attempt to solve it...

Moreover, this issue doesn’t appear on a particular file, but rather on every Word file I open or create.

But if you insist, here it is: https://www.cjoint.com/c/LKcmVR23wWA

... first observation : there is neither border nor frame when I open your file!

So the problem apparently does not originate from your choices in HOME / Paragraph...

      Raymond,

Yes, that is exactly what I tried to explain to you in my previous response.
