UPS ADDRESS ISSUE

Hello, having made a purchase this Wednesday, I was supposed to receive the package via UPS this Friday between 11:15 AM and 3:15 PM, so far everything was fine.

Around 5 PM, not having received the package yet, I decided to check the tracking and it shows that "The delivery address provided is incorrect or incomplete." That the delivery date will be communicated as soon as possible, that it is on its way and that the address is required. I provided the correct address that I use for all my purchases, I do not understand.

I decided to call their service afterwards and was able to reconfirm my address, etc. For now, no response, I don't even know where my package is. Do you have any solutions?

Kind regards

Clément.

You're welcome...

They will be better able to answer this type of question.

Only UPS knows this date.

Hello,

The carriers are picky.

You have to write your city in capital letters and without any accents if there are any.

I’ve already been through that and I had to go pick it up at the relay point.

Hello,

I would like to be as lenient as contrariness, whom I salute.

My experience:

Deliverers sometimes choose to deliberately leave packages at a pick-up point, which allows them to shorten their route. When they pass by, they don't ring the bell (other readers have testified to this) and throw a notice of passage, pre-established? into the mailbox. Some throw or drop the package in the garden, if it's not the neighbor's.

I can confirm that some do call to warn of their imminent passage.

It's the price of resorting to subcontractors.

It's also happened to me, being close to my home, to see the postman himself (a substitute) carefully filling out a notice of passage without even bothering to ring the bell. When questioned, he claims he didn't see the doorbell.

This is in the Paris region and for about 2 to 3 packages out of 10.

That was my "things were better before" moment.

Have a good Sunday.

Hello,

I had cases of delivery drivers who clearly didn't even come; I lived a bit in the bush: no doorbell or call even when I was home, no notice in the mailbox, no unexpected drop-off at a relay point, nothing: the package, supposedly presented several days in a row or not because of a missing address, which wasn't true, stayed in the van or maybe even in the warehouse and eventually got sent back to the sender.

Complicated situation since the supplier is responsible for their carrier and intervening was not always simple.

Hello,

Having had the same kind of problem recently.... the delivery still took place a few days later.

The address was perfectly accurate and on the delivered package, in pencil, there was a note saying "not present" with the date and time it was supposed to be delivered on the first scheduled delivery day... (a Friday too).

The delivery person never showed up that Friday.....

Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it isn't there...

Hello,

It's not very serious on their part...

I spoke to him on the phone, apparently I'm supposed to receive it this Monday. I'm reassured but not completely yet haha. I'll keep you updated, thanks.

Hello Baladur

He may have passed by, but he didn't wait...
Drivers rarely wait for more than a minute for someone to come and open the door... out of 100 to 150 packages they have to deliver in a day, waiting a minute each time adds up to over 2 hours... that's quite a lot.

Personally, I have a delivery driver who has an app from his company on his phone for delivery routes... it has my phone number, and before arriving, he calls me. This way, there's no time wasted for him... or for me.
But that's not the majority of delivery drivers!

C

No.. he was expected and if he passed by, he didn't bother to ring..

In any case, if he did pass by, he should have left a delivery notice and in the package tracking it shouldn't have shown "Incomplete address" but "Customer absent".
