UPS Package Problem

I ordered a Dell laptop two weeks ago.

I sent the check and received a message a few days later saying that the laptop is being prepared.

On September 10, I received an email stating that the package would be sent and that I should receive it on the 12th.

I waited until Friday the 12th, but no package arrived. On Monday the 15th, I checked the order tracking and saw this message (09/15/2008 9:56 A POSTCARD HAS BEEN SENT TO THE RECIPIENT ASKING THEM TO CONTACT UPS.) On Tuesday, I contacted them and a very kind woman answered, telling me that the delivery people did not have my name. Strange, but I gave her my name, intercom number, mobile number, etc., and she told me I would be delivered on Wednesday between 9 AM and 6 PM. I asked her if it was guaranteed, and she replied yes, you will receive it tomorrow.
Today still nothing; what should I do?

Salut, j'ai aussi un problème de colis, mais je n'arrive pas à les contacter. Peux-tu s'il te plaît me donner le numéro avec lequel tu as réussi à joindre la dame ? Merci.

I just had a problem with UPS today, they are incompetent and have very limited tracking for their packages, I have to say!

Some got a charming young lady, I got some kind of crazy woman who shouted at me, almost saying I was too dumb to understand the message on their website (even though I’m a webmaster) and wouldn’t stop interrupting me, saying she wanted to speak while I couldn’t even get a word in.
I lost it, telling her that as a customer she should calm down and that it was a bunch of crooks who make more money off their premium numbers than from package shipments!!!!

Anyway, the message on the website basically said I wasn’t there for the first scheduled delivery on 12/03 and they would try again the next day, which is today. I even took a day off yesterday just for this, so making me believe I wasn’t there was just messing with me.

So I call them and the other one tells me it’s not possible that they tried to deliver, that my package hasn’t moved from the sorting center which is 2 hours from my place.
Unbelievable, and what’s my package waiting for, for me to call to have it sent?????

She says, “I promise, since you’re so upset you’ll get it tomorrow!” But then the priority of a package depends on how upset I am if I understand correctly! Anyway, 15 minutes at $0.12/min just to get yelled at + 2 days off wasted and possibly tomorrow too.

Guess what, half an hour after this heated call, someone rings my doorbell “Hello, it’s UPS”!.... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
How did that crazy person manage to see my package in her stock if it hasn’t moved for 2 days????

Good luck to those still waiting for their package because it’s clear that it’s nerve-wracking to wait indefinitely and be made to feel like a fool while at the price it costs, and especially since both us and our packages aren’t taken seriously to be seen in a stock while they’re 200km away.

Phone numbers are rare but the page for the centers is here: in the menu press 0 and in the submenu again 0
