Dislocated spring, Canon Pixma TS6150 printer

Hello everyone,

My Canon Pixma TS6150 printer is getting stuck during printing with error code 6004. After opening the cover, I noticed that a small spring is dislodged at the location where the cartridges rest, I think this is directly related because nothing else seems to be blocking/obstructing the equipment.

Could someone with the same printer take a photo of that location so that I can compare and try to put the spring back in place?

Thank you in advance for your help, it would break my heart to have to replace the printer for just a simple spring...

Hello,

See if you can find the answer to your question in the "service manual."

Edit... this is not for the TS6150 model but for the MG6150, I hope it will still be useful to you.

Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it's not there...

Hello,

I don't know this printer... but well, it's mechanics, it should be repairable..!!

1° A closer macro photo would allow for better appreciation...

2° Given the nature of the spring (spiral pig tail..!!), I think the end is broken... it doesn't "snap back" as you say, it needs to be replaced; either find another one or make one...

3° It would be good to have an idea of its function..?? what it presses against, what it's for.

... I think your photo shows the position of the writing head's garage...? and that this spring should press against something in the writing head..??

Try to explain all that...

Hello to both of you. I don't understand, I had given you detailed feedback with other photos but I see that it doesn't appear...

For your information, I was able to compare it with another Pixma printer and the spring is not broken, it only presses against a plastic part that has given way on my printer. Since the piece in question is black, I hadn't noticed that a piece was missing. The spring can no longer hold properly, and the broken part seems complicated to replace or repair...

Thank you for your help!

Sadly, it happens sometimes... But it also happens that we make a mistake, for instance by previewing, we think it's good, and we move on to something else, without "validating" and it’s gone, that also happens.

You can always resend your photos, highlighting the delicate part in question... we should be able to come up with something.
