Paper jam message canon TS3450

Hello,

An E03 message appears on my Canon TS3450 printer indicating that there is a paper jam; it's true that some slightly wrinkled and possibly damp sheets got stuck, I removed them carefully without pulling, from the rear cover; but since this maneuver, this message keeps appearing and therefore the printer doesn't work anymore. After the jam, it was catching several misaligned sheets and would stop, but now it doesn't pick them up at all. You can hear a small noise, quieter than before (it used to sound like a wheel turning), and it feels like it’s not grabbing anything? How should I proceed? Thank you in advance!

    Hello,

thank you for taking the time to respond! So yes, I had done those manipulations, I just did them again for good measure while checking carefully if any small bits of paper could be present, but nothing visible and still the same behavior.

When I unplug and plug it back in, I can hear the ink heads moving, and when I look at the back from the top into the slot where the paper goes, I don’t see the rod that rolls on the paper turning and which, I suppose, used to make the usual noise that has disappeared, as if the paper was not being pulled. By gently pulling the paper, did we damage this sort of horizontal rod? (It has a black wheel at each end, and it measures about ten cm)

In my opinion, the rollers that feed the paper are damaged or broken. It's definitely a hardware issue. If your printer is out of warranty (2 years), you'll have to go through the repair process.

Thank you for the help.. I kept the purchase receipt, it states a 2-year warranty and I'm still within the timeframe, but I bet it will be outside the warranty conditions as often happens... I'm going to give it a try, you never know! I bought it at Fnac, to be continued.....
