It's just that in 99.9% of cases it's not possible; you need to know everything about the connectivity and characteristics of your current graphics card, namely whether it's a standalone card or soldered to the motherboard. If it's a standalone card, you need to find a compatible one with the same connectivity that won't cause issues with thermal envelope (consumption and heat) or firmware so that it is properly recognized by the motherboard.

In my opinion, it's not possible... (except for rare exceptions)... Generally, the so-called graphics card is mainly a Chip dedicated to this function and soldered onto the motherboard during its manufacturing by robots using BGA, see the documentation on the subject.
