A storage service has been disabled on this sys.

Hello, I have a problem with my storage which means I can't download anything anymore.

When I go to storage, I get a yellow message saying (an administrator has disabled storage service on this system). I contacted Microsoft support and gave them access to my PC, but nothing changed. They couldn't fix it and even gave up. I have a gaming PC and not being able to download anything is quite annoying, especially since it's only 6 months old.

Thank you to anyone who will respond to me.

    Hello,

You should take a look here, I think…

    https://www.a7la-home.com/fr/enable-or-disable-reserved-storage-windows-10/

Storage Sense can automatically clean up certain user files to free up disk space. By default, Storage Sense is automatically turned on when the computer reaches low disk space and is configured to run whenever the computer is able to reclaim storage. This frequency can be adjusted in the storage settings or defined with the group policy "configure storage detection settings."

      Hello MPMP10,

The translation of your first link leaves something to be desired regarding the registry method.

      It's unthinkable to see this!!

      Translating SOFTWARE as LOGICIEL !!!!!

Malekal clearly describes the procedure for disabling the reserved storage space

==► Disable the reserved storage space of Windows 10

You just need to do the opposite.

Image with the registry key ''ShippedWithReserves '' enabled.

For the second link, it's for a prehistoric version of W10 (SUPPORT_WINDOWS_10_0_RS6)

This registry key no longer exists nowadays.

      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\StorageSense
