PS3 File Restoration Issue Solved/Closed

Hello,

I have a huge problem with my PS3...

Last night, my PS3 turned on without showing the XMB menu... so I started

looking for a solution online. I went into the recovery menu of my PS3,

I restored the files, the loading reached 100% and then the PS3

turned off. A few seconds later, it turned back on showing me this message

"The file system of the hard drive is corrupted

and will be restored." (P.S.: Notice the underlined typo...)

Some say you have to do the loading about thirty times, which I did

of course before posting this message, but unfortunately, it didn’t

work. Others say you have to remove the hard drive, but I have no

desire to mess up my PS3 myself. And finally, the last ones say to get it

repaired, but I don’t want to lose my PS3 for several months and

pay an amount nearing the price of the console itself... Please,

help me, I am desperate especially since I am going to receive Killzone 3 and The Fight.

Configuration: Windows XP / Safari 534.13

Hey everyone, I just encountered this problem and I just found the solution.
Please give a + so that it gets the attention it deserves!

1-Unscrew the blue screw under the cover of your PS3.

2-Turn on your Play: "Restore recommended" Don't press anything!

3-Remove the hard drive and gently blow on it.

4-Press O.K

5-Put the hard drive back.

6-Let the loading finish.

7-You're a geek and you give a +! ;)

Wow, what a bummer!!! I have a problem with this damn console too that keeps messing up all the time, but people like us can't do without it^^
What exactly did you do?
Did you just want to restore your PS3 system and now it doesn't work anymore???
Have you tried formatting???

in your system settings tab, you -hard disk utility -restore default settings and -restore the ps3 system what did you do???

You need to turn on the PS3, turn it off, then press the on/off button again

until it turns off, then press it until you hear two

short beeps, then I did a file system restoration... anyway, the

third option.

Finally, I think you should remove the hard drive from the PS3 under the

cover normally on the left when you have

the case for inserting the games in front of you... Good luck... And then

try to remove it when it shows you the message above that says

above, you press o.k. then you reconnect the hard drive when it

tells you formatting or I don't know what, anyway... GOOD LUCK!!!

Is your PS3 menu completely messed up? Sorry for asking questions, it's morning, lol, it's tough. If your menu is formatted, completely reset your PS3, it might work.

No, I no longer have the XMB menu, there's just the green background (P.S.: I chose green). But this afternoon I'm going to Micromania or Game and I'll ask them what to do, how much it costs and how long I won't have my PS3...

If your warranty is gone, it's 150 euros, my old friend, and you haven't had it for easy 2 months minimum, I think. I just managed to get my console to work. I was going crazy; I've been unable to play for 4 months. Sorry I can't help you more, but it's tough for you if you can't even see your menu; I don't know what you could do, sorry. If you're a Call of Duty player, hang in there. I hope you get your PS3 back quickly, man. Peace.

Hello,
the problem is that my PS3 shows "storage device is corrupted and will be repaired" after the loading I get a black screen and it freezes. I restart my console and it shows the message again, I do the loading again and it freezes again. Can someone help me please!!?

I already sent my PS3 to Sony and there is a very good service. In 2 days, I received the box and I sent it. A week later, I received my PS3 with a new hard drive. All my data was still on my PS3... I believe the best way is to send your PS3 to Sony! I didn't have the warranty and they acknowledged that it was their mistake and did it for free!

I had this problem with my PS3 after I took it apart, the XMB menu wouldn't show up, and the error message appeared after each restart. I haven't solved the problem yet, but at least you have solutions to access the system restoration menu.
