Remove Family Link without deleting all your Google data.

I want to delete my child's Family Link account, but they are forcing me to delete their Google account and all their data, while I want them to keep their email address while removing Family Link.

Hello,

I think we need to cheat, let me explain:

in Family Link from the moderator account ---> click on your child

I think this step is optional but I recommend it to avoid being blocked:

Account information ---> Connection control ---> No, allow [Child] to connect without me

Account information ---> Connection control ---> CHANGE PASSWORD (and don’t forget it...)

* you must enter the moderator password first but it is the child’s password that will be changed

Click on the pencil ---> change the birthday to make it 13 years old ---> click on the validate symbol

and then normally somewhere an option will appear or even an automatic email from Google (in the child's inbox) to turn the account into an adult one.

Once the account is transformed, it should normally be possible to uninstall the app.

To be confirmed as I haven’t tested it myself and please read carefully if there are any warnings about data removal in which case do not continue but rather contact support. We await your feedback.
