USB phone keeps disconnecting and reconnecting endlessly

Hello, I've been experiencing a problem since I changed my PC case (Corsair 275R). Indeed, when I connect a phone to the case ports (Front panel), it connects well for a few seconds (sometimes I even feel like putting it in sleep mode triggers the issue), then it disconnects/reconnects, causing a cacophony of Windows sounds. This problem only occurs with phones. I am therefore forced to plug it into the motherboard ports, which is quite inconvenient.

I have tried:

 - Updating my drivers

 - Installing a driver provided by Xiaomi (My phone is a Redmi Note 10S)

 - The problem does not come from the cable or the phone as I changed phones and switched to USB C in the meantime

 - The problem is not hardware, because when using an SSD with a fresh Windows installation, everything works...

Help...

    Hello,

    Try Control Panel - Device Manager - USB Bus Controllers - Right click - Properties: power management tab, uncheck the first box and check the second one.

    As for finding the relevant controller, it doesn't matter if we do the operation for all.

    Also note that on some PCs, certain USB ports deliver lower power, which can cause problems if the connected device is power-hungry.

      It's something I've done before...

      As for a difference in the power supply, I don't think that's it because taking the SSD from my laptop (with a nearly new Windows) and putting it in place of my current SSD worked very well. So logically, the problem is software and not hardware.

        I don't understand your test: if you take the system SSD from your laptop and connect it internally to your PC, I don't see how it could boot.

        And I also don't see how a non-hardware issue could affect certain USB ports but not all of them.

        Why exchanging SSDs wouldn't work? It might not be optimal for certain things in the long run, but it starts up.

        As for the USB ports, I don't really understand either. Aside from the fact that the rear ports are directly on the motherboard and those on the front panel are connected via a USB 3 cable.

        I don't know much more, it coincides as you say yourself with a material change.

        A backup plan if you don't want to get a crick in your neck, a USB hub connected to one of the rear ports, it costs less than €10.
