Hello,
I have been using a new "Acer Nitro 50" PC for 2 months with Windows 10. Since then, the sound has been cutting out at times, and I don’t know what is causing these sound cutouts. The last time, a week ago, Microsoft’s assistant updated the driver for me, and it worked for a few days, but suddenly today there’s no sound again. The time before that, I remember having the choice between Nvidia or Realtek, and I randomly switched from Nvidia to Realtek, and the sound came back for about 2 weeks before disappearing again. The problem today is that the Realtek name has disappeared; it’s nowhere to be found. In the Audio settings, it says there are no audio input devices. We also cannot reinstall the old driver as the box is grayed out.
What can I do? I don’t even know where to look or what to do!
For your information: I have an amplifier connected to my "Acer Nitro," and I have always had amplifiers and never experienced sound problems with that. Everything is properly connected; I have checked it 3 times.
Thank you to anyone who can help me resolve this sound issue.

Hello,
Windows + R
Type --> devmgmt.msc and OK.
Do you have a section --> other devices?
If yes, what are the problematic devices?
What do you have in audio, video and game controllers?
Brand and model number of the PC?
EX: Nitro AN515-31
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Is Windows up to date?
Windows key + R
Type --> winver and OK
What is the version?

Select --> 7Zip
Choose --> extract to "Audio_Realtek_6.0.9116.1_W10x64_A\"
Go to Device Manager
Right-click on the High Definition Device
Update driver
Browse my computer for drivers
Select from a list of drivers...
Have Disk
Browse
Go to the unzipped driver folder --> Audio_Realtek_6.0.9116.1_W10x64_A
Folder --> Audio_Realtek_6.0.9116.1_W10x64
Folder --> Win64
Select the file --> HDXACERAIO.inf and OK.
Restart.
While reading some tips here and there on this forum about reinstalling sound, I downloaded the Realtek driver (executable). When I tried to install it on my PC, it said "installation failed" without any further information.
It's getting complicated.
Can someone help me?
Thank you.
