<:b>Hi everyone, this is Cdbvs
I was away for 18 days because moving with SFR isn’t that easy!
I’m back today with my PC running Windows XP and I’ve discovered that it’s impossible to update Malwarebytes’ virus database 2.1.6.1022. Yet it’s the latest version compatible with Win XP. Would Malwarebytes be complicit with everyone who decided to kill Win XP? Or is there a solution to update?
For those who don’t know, I have a PC with Win 10 up to date and one with Win XP to see how long it will function and to find ways to keep it updated as long as possible.
Thanks for your help and see you soon!

Hello everyone, this is Cdbvs
Is there an antitrojan that keeps its base viral updates under Windows XP?
Thanks and see you soon.

Hi everyone, this is Cdbvs
How do I retrieve the update files for Malwarebytes?
Where are they hidden?
Thanks

Hello.
Your version of Malwarebytes 2.1.6.1022 is too old and no longer updates; the latest virus definitions are probably no longer compatible with the search engine of this Malwarebytes version which is outdated. Use a version compatible with XP instead https://fr.malwarebytes.com/trial/ see compatibility at the bottom of the page.

< b > Hello everyone, it’s Cdbvs < / b >
Hi < b > Bazfile < / b >,
After multiple attempts, I’m informing you that Malwarebytes versions 4.5, 4.4, 4.0 do not work on Windows XP SP4 32 and 64 bit.
So Malwarebytes is talking nonsense at the bottom of the download page.
I’m currently looking for a 3.x version still available on the internet... and it’s not easy! most links lead to version 4.5.10.
I’ll keep you posted on my progress or any blocks!
Have a good evening and see you soon.

Hi Bazfile, hi everyone.
Well I found a version 3.6.1.2711 that installs under Win XP SP4 Win 32 and 64 Bits.
I will test and see.
Impossible to contact Malwarebytes France, it doesn't exist, there is indeed a way to contact them but it's American, and I am, how to say... particularly bad at English.
This would be to know where the updates are stored.
Maybe we should simply use version 3.x.x.x !
I'll see about it and I'll be back.
A+

Hello everyone, this is Cdbvs
Well, I tested Malwarebytes version 3.6.1.2711 and yes it crashes during installation, it returns an installation error.
So I looked around a bit and found Malwarebytes version 3.0.6.1469 and well that doesn’t work... either! In fact it installs correctly, it updates the virus database but at the moment of the scan it crashes. It’s impossible to perform a full scan. It cancels itself. I’ll try another version and I’ll keep you posted.
I still haven't found where the updates are installed??? If you have any idea it would be welcome.
There you go.
Thanks and bye

Hello everyone, this is Cdbvs
Hi Bazfile,
I see that your link points to a Windows XP compatible version.
I would try this version.
Thanks ^^
Otherwise, do you know where the software updates are located?
Or where they are stored after performing the updates?
Thanks and see you soon.
