Vocal Frequency Hopping Codes

Hello,
I have a problem with the phone that was installed in 1993 at my workplace. In fact, I am starting my own micro-enterprise by taking over from someone. At that time, a kind of mini telephone exchange was installed, meaning that several doctors could all communicate with each other thanks to this setup; now there are only two left. My problem is that with this phone, an ALCATEL 4125, if I dial a number where they tell me to reach a certain service by pressing 2, I can't do that because I need to switch to voice frequency, but the organization refuses to give me the codes. They tell me that a technician has to come, and it would cost me at least €110. I think it’s a scam – €110 before tax just to get a darn code! I believe there are surely people who have the same phone model and consequently the codes, or maybe someone could tell me where I can find them. That would be nice because I had a voicemail set up by FRANCE TELECOM and I can't customize it, which annoys me a lot.
Thank you.

To set your phone to voice frequency, you definitely shouldn't call a technician. I'm a former employee of France Telecom. You just need to press the # button to switch your phone to voice frequency. It all depends on the model; if it's recent, meaning about 4 years old, there should be no problem. Once you've pressed the button, wait and you'll hear a beep beep beep, and then you're on voice frequency. Good luck. But definitely no need to pay for an intervention; that's incorrect, and besides, an intervention isn't necessarily €110; it generally costs around €54. Voice frequency is available on all fixed or mobile phones; it's a technical maneuver to perform on the phone. If you can't manage it, call 3900 and choose option 2; you'll reach the technical services for landlines.
Thank you for the advice
