Hello,
I have a surveillance camera that takes unsolicited photos. Before switching to the POP, I had the Freebox Revolution which, as you know, had an internal hard drive where I sent the photos from the camera via the server
- FTP myfreebox.freebox.fr
camera config:
- port 21
- user ftp, freebox
- ftp send folder /hard drive/CAM
- ftp mode passive.
It worked very well! I installed an external USB hard drive on the POP, where I can record broadcasts and watch them (outside of cloud) and manage them from my PC in Freebox server. I would like to do the same with the Freebox Pop, either recording on the USB hard drive, or, why not, recording to the cloud.
My problem is that I don't know the physical address of my hard drive in the POP like in the send folder in the Revolution, or how to address it in the cloud provided by Free.
Thank you for your ideas.

Hello.
Currently, the only recording solution with the POP is the cloud, which includes 100 hours per month; if you exceed that, it's 2 cents per additional hour. To access your hard drive connected to the POP server, use VLC, which you can install on the POP player via the Google Store.

Thank you bazfile, as for the hard drive, I can record the TV on it, and I can find the recordings via VLC on the POP or on my PC.
For my camera, what would be the access path for VLC in my camera, and is it possible, in that case, to create a directory in VLC for the POP?
Thanks again

You open VLC, go to the "navigation" tab, then click on the "local network" tile. You navigate to your hard drive; a new tile will appear, and you add it to your favorites. It will take the name of your external hard drive. For me, I connected the external hard drive to the Freebox POP server (internet box).

You can very well record using POP on a USB key connected to the server and not just to the Cloud, I do it regularly
For FTP mode, my USB key is recognized as a hard drive and is automatically assigned to the FTP server of the box
External access is configured in the FTP section of Freebox OS
I haven't tested with a USB external hard drive but it should be the same
If you're not in full stack, be careful that the ports used are within the range assigned to you
I don't see what VLC is doing there for viewing photos
Thank you
