Hi Rebecca,
"After multiple cleanings of the nozzles with the maintenance tool": Multiple is the unnecessary word. One pass should have been enough, maybe 2 but not more!
After a search online, your printer (plotter?) is no longer available. Right?
If so, you don't risk anything by disassembling the nozzles to clean them with a mild detergent. Provided they are accessible.
I don't think there is a repairman who has replacement nozzles but surely they can be unclogged! As long as he is honest and not trying to sell you one.
Not knowing this model, I can't tell you more.

You can also replace the print head..
But it's no longer the right time, prices have doubled in the last few months...
If you decide to replace the head, it will be preferable to also replace the dampers (flow regulation system placed before the heads) -
Thank you for the response, I will try to see if Epson is willing to reply to me, so far it’s been silence on their part.

Hi Rebecca,
But is your plotter no longer manufactured? So it's no longer supported? Or is it a regular printer?
I imagine it's no longer under warranty?
So the intervention, if there is one, is going to cost you an arm and a leg?
Anyway, keep us updated! OK?
If the problem is resolved, don't forget:
1: to report it using the●●●
at the first question.
2: to also specify how this problem was solved, it will help others.
Thanks in advance!

The Epson Pro 7900 are robust printers.
What a printer dislikes is too low humidity. Heat is not a problem, but if the humidity is too low, the print heads dry out.
And this is exacerbated by the use of compatible inks that are not always suitable... -
Hello,
I live in Polynesia with a humidity level of 80%.
And I only use Epson inks. I don't know why I have this problem. It's a great printer and I'm upset that I can no longer use it, worse, to end up throwing it away. -
Good evening everyone,
Here is a video explaining the cleaning of the print heads of a printer.
Good luck!

On plotters, the ink supply system is more complex.
The cartridges are located at a lower level than the print head, which requires pumps to lift the ink to the catch reservoirs.
The pumps are only effective if the sealing is perfect during the cleaning of the nozzles around the head. For this, it is necessary to occasionally change the wiper that cleans the head and prevents ink deposits from drying on it.
Getting into troubleshooting a plotter is not impossible, but doing it without the "service manual" is mission impossible.

Hi Contrariness,
I had seen this kind of offset heads with a pump but I can't remember where, but here are some images.
Good luck!

Hello, unlike the replies, your printhead is not dead but it's simply the Selector - 1705826 located above the printheads that needs to be changed. Unlike the replies, it's very easy to change; you start the 7900 and unplug it during its startup cycle, then you open the cover and gently pull out the printhead. There are 6 screws to unscrew, be careful you need a long screwdriver, then you pull it out; you may be a bit hindered by the ink tubes but it works!! You unscrew the ink inlet, be careful it will spill and then you replace it. Since everything is disassembled, take out the printhead without disconnecting the connections; you can disconnect them but be careful to mark them well for reassembly. With a syringe to which you have attached a small plastic tube like a Bic pen tube, fill it with isopropyl alcohol and clean each nozzle one by one, good luck!!!
