Hello everyone,
I just bought a used TV to play my old video games. To avoid disturbing my partner, I planned to use my headphones, but oh no, the jack doesn't seem to work...
I don't know what to do. The TV is a Philips 19pfl5522d/12.
Maybe there's an alternative way to get sound to the headphones?
Best regards,
Julien

Good evening, thank you all for your help. In fact, once the headset is connected via jack, you need to set the desired volume and then mute the TV. So it works perfectly. The only downside is that after that, you cannot increase or decrease the sound because it reactivates the sound on the TV.
Anyway, thank you very much for your help everyone

Good evening,
Try pressing the "mute" button on the
remote control to turn off the sound of the television speakers.
To restore the sound, press the button
again.

Hello
I'm afraid not. You can check the TV menus to see if there's an option to disable/enable the headphone output.
But if not, this TV is basic (yes, that was the purpose) and there doesn't seem to be any other audio output.

Good evening,
Unless I'm mistaken...
Description
Scart/3.5 mm Jack adapter allowing you to connect headphones to a television via the Scart socket.

Maybe, to be confirmed since generally the SCART is an input (?) on the TV. to connect a VCR "to" the TV.
If I'm not mistaken (to be checked) this type of connector would allow capturing sound coming from a source to the TV.
Not the other way around. But it's been so long that I'm not sure about that anymore.
Andy31200 can shed some light on the question for us.
