Hello,
I bought a Philips 42PFL5405H TV, but the sound isn’t good, so I bought Bose multimedia speakers that connect to the TV’s headphone jack.
My problem is that I don’t have access to the volume control from the TV’s remote on the multimedia speakers.
If it exists, should I buy an adapter to connect the multimedia speakers to the TV’s digital coaxial audio output?
Thanks for your possible responses.

Sorry for my mistake. All the TVs I’ve had (Philips, Grundig, Sony, Panasonic, LG) had a sound setting that affected both the speakers and the headphone output via minijack or DIN. I don’t know this model and it does indeed seem curious. The shortcut should be listed in the manual, but I can’t be of much help to you.

All Panasonic devices have this problem. It would only take a simple firmware update to be able to choose which output should be set using the volume command on the remote control, to fix this issue. But Panasonic refuses to do it; they’re hoping to sell you peripherals (home cinema at 800€) instead... Already their TV quality is lousy, but this kind of thing is unacceptable!
