Control TV volume via headphone jack?

According to the product sheet, it is a 3.5 mm jack, so the cable that goes to your speakers is RCA, right? So it should be connected to the right speaker, one above the other. The top connector goes to the other speaker. The bottom connector is the 12V power supply. Regarding the TV, once the headset cable is plugged in, it uses the +/- controls (located next to the mute symbol). There you go.

I just tested on a Philips high-end and indeed there’s no way to do otherwise by turning the speakers off or not; for headphones there’s no problem since there is a volume control, but for the Bose there’s no solution except adjusting it on the Bose if possible or getting one with a remote
I have a Toshiba where I plugged multimedia speakers that mute the TV speakers and I adjust the volume normally
it’s only done for a headset and not for anything else

I have a brand new Panasonic L32ET5E TV with a 3D glasses set.

Unfortunately for me as well, the sound coming from the headset cannot be adjusted by the remote control but only by the sound configuration menu under "Headphone volume". It’s really lousy!!!

It is impossible to adjust the bass/treble and the equalizer.
So it's not great and the sound isn’t top notch.
So for me who always listens with headphones, Panasonic is crap.

Unless someone on this forum knows how to avoid this problem???

What you call jack sockets are probably RCA/phono outputs (white and red sockets), which are fixed-level line outputs, like all line outputs.

If you want to use the remote control, you would need to use the headphone output by plugging a male stereo minijack cord into the input of your Bose speakers (minijack or RCA/phono?).

The headphone output is adjustable on the remote control.

The digital-to-analog adapter solution is more performant but more expensive.
