Hello everyone,
I just bought a Gigaset E290H landline phone with an answering machine. I can make calls to someone! The problem is that when someone calls me, the phone doesn't ring, so no one can reach me! When I try to call the Gigaset phone from my mobile phone, not only does it not ring, but the time also changes and shows one hour less!
I've been struggling with this ringtone for 3 days! Could someone please help me?? It would be nice since I’m new to the forum! Thank you in advance and have a great day everyone!

Hello
If this device is connected to a box, please reset it.
To do this, cut the power to the box for one minute, then turn it back on.
As for the time lag,
during a call, with a phone connected to a box, it is the latter that sends the time to the phone.
If there is a lag, it means the box is not set to the correct time (wrong time zone).
Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it’s not there...

THANK YOU for your quick response, I will try this as soon as possible, and I will let you know the result!

Yes, by doing your manipulation, the bell crossed out with an X appeared, and by pressing it longer, the bell disappeared. So I tried to call myself and there was still no ringing! Thank you for your patience! And have a good evening!
Sorry...
Last attempt:
If you press (brief press) the "Paging" button on the base, what happens... does the handset ring or not?
Initially identify point B in the image below, then you talk about a phone with an answering machine
To stop it if it rings
Press briefly the Registration/Paging button located on the base
or
press the "Pick Up" button or the "Hang Up" button on a handset
Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it isn't there...

okay? When I briefly press the Paping button on the base, it rings and the screen of the phone placed on the base displays (rech.combiné)
I only have one phone on this base with an answering machine!

OK... But do the same thing while moving the handset away from its base.
Because the base has a ringtone and the handset does too...
You need to know which one is ringing, the base, the handset, or both?
Normally both should ring (during a call as well, by the way).
To be checked too...
When you receive a call or when you call yourself with your mobile, does the number display on the mobile screen? Or does it display "Blocked Call" or "Unknown"
There is also a setting for time slots when the handset should not ring, see the manual on page 54
"Activate/deactivate ringing based on time"
The manual: https://gse.gigaset.com/fileadmin/gigaset/images/CustomerCare/Manuals/E2x/E200-E200A_E290-E290A/A31008-M2901-F101-1-2X19_20-01-2020_fr_CH.pdf

Thank you very much, already by removing the handset from its base nothing happens, neither the base nor the handset ring with the same action! When I call myself, nothing happens on the Gigaset handset screen, there is the time and nothing moves!
I will try all your advice and I will keep you updated on the outcome! I wish you a very good evening in the meantime! And a big thank you again for your answers and your advice!

Good evening baladur13
After trying everything, nothing works, there is a real issue with this phone! Maybe I got a bad batch! I have therefore decided to return it to the store! I chose another one from a different brand, and upon arriving home, I immediately did the tests (everything works perfectly!)
Thank you very much for your patience and for your wasted time, I'm sorry!
Fortunately, there are still good souls like you to help others!
Have a good evening
Best regards
