Hello everyone,

I have a Lenovo Ideapad S340 laptop with an SSD and HDD.
I tried to reinstall Windows 10 on the SSD, but I got the error "we couldn't install Windows to the selected location. Please check your media driver 0x80300024 (see attachment).

I looked online, and some people set the boot mode to UEFI, but when I do that, my bootable USB drive is not detected, and with legacy support, I get this error.

Do you know how to resolve this issue?

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Hello,
You are reinstalling Windows 10 with a USB drive.
How did you create this USB drive?

Yes, a bootable USB key purchased from https://www.cdiscount.com/informatique/cle-usb/cle-usb-8go-bootable-windows-10-famille-64-bits/f-10722-len3708158906942.html?idOffre=1208234303&cid=search_pla&cm_mmc=PLA%21COR%21%21MP%2114998030949%21m109751151_pLEN3708158906942-1208234303_l9055001_tpla-438932949502_&gclid=Cj0KCQiAnuGNBhCPARIsACbnLzqPLb6UFp3nhIdgwBcY43T1RWOnKoy06L53WCZSktnNlux9VzhCrY8aAoNGEALw_wcB

What a strange idea to have bought a USB key?... You could have done it yourself with a minimum 8GB USB 3 key and by using the Microsoft method... https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/software-download/windows10

You mentioned... "I have a Lenovo Ideapad S340 laptop with an SSD and HDD.". So, I assume you already had the Windows 10 installation key.

Method to enable UEFI Boot... https://www.malekal.com/activer-boot-uefi-bios/

Yes, because it was the same price as a blank USB stick.
Problem solved with UEFI bootable USB stick.
