Thank you very much for your help, I followed the instructions well and the error message no longer appears. With the link you gave me, the interface worked, and I was able to reset the counter to zero. A reprieve for my printer
      A big thank you

Thank you for the feedback and I'm glad for you if everything is okay
I will mark the issue as resolved

We might need to order a new printer from Santa Claus.....

    Hello ....

Thank you for the feedback ...
Just to let you know, I am not familiar with this printer and have never used the Canon V3400 utility...
I suggest you check out ► This link ► See error 006
Unless I am mistaken, your printer is indeed compatible with the utility... and the issue must be elsewhere ... or maybe the utility is being misused??
    See you later!

Hello jmarion3 and thank you for your reply. I downloaded the small software, my printer is connected to my computer but each time I try I get an error code 006 and I'm unable to get the software to take control of the printer. Thank you.

    Hello,

Even if you manage to reset the counter, the problem will only be partially resolved.
The absorbers are saturated, ready to overflow, which is extremely messy!

Moreover, disassembly is generally quite complicated.

And since the intervention of customer service will likely exceed the value of the printer, we can conclude that your printer is on borrowed time!

Thank you all for your responses, I’m going to set out in search of a new printer, the one that’s dying on me has been incredibly robust, 10 years of good and loyal service, I didn’t expect such longevity, I only had to change the print heads once (20 euros). If you have any advice, does Canon still make this kind of printer (MP 560)?
Thank you and have a good Sunday.

      Re .....

If I understood correctly, the Canon V3400 did not manage to partially reset the used ink counter to zero .....
10 years of use is quite good for a printer of this type ...
As for me, I am a Brother professional after having had issues with a Canon printer and an Epson, and no problems with Brother that I have been using for almost 8 years, but I only buy branded cartridges ...

Have a good Sunday and A+
      Best regards

In fact, I finally managed to do it thanks to your help, I followed the entire protocol, the MP 520 model was not in the menu but I chose a similar model. I applied the procedure to put the printer into maintenance mode and Canon V3400 was able to do the rest. As a result, the message no longer appears at startup and I imagine I’ve bought some more time. So, thank you for your help, it was clear and effective and it's good for the planet ;)
Have a nice Sunday as well
    Best regards

It's just normal, receiving help and leaving without saying thank you isn't very classy, even if it's too common :(
