Hello,

Do you know if there are any wifi keys compatible with the Chrome OS system?
I have an Acer Chromebook CB 314 and I've been having major wifi connection issues with my device for several weeks.

    Chrome OS is a system based on a Linux kernel, so any Wi-Fi dongle that works under Linux should work with Chrome OS... Be careful, not all Wi-Fi dongles available in stores work out of the box under Linux; it depends on the chipset inside. If the driver is not included in the Linux kernel, it's dead in the water because you won't be able to install the driver in Chrome OS.

    I tested the functionality with a Wi-Fi dongle that has been lying around in a drawer for nearly 10 years: it works, but you first need to disconnect the internal Wi-Fi card from the clock menu, then plug in the USB dongle, and the connection will automatically be restored.

    I think your problems might not necessarily come from your Wi-Fi card, it could also be an issue with your router (routers are far from being quality models). Try testing another Wi-Fi channel before investing.
    If you can, also test at a friend's place to see if you have the same issues with another router.
