Hello everyone,
In case we send a message with attachments and want to keep a "pdf" record to archive in a folder, how can we ensure that the titles of the attachments appear when we print?
Thank you for the solution.
Best regards to all.

Hello,
I'm not sure I fully understood what you want to do.
In the list of messages in Thunderbird, right-click on the message in question and choose Print.
In the window that opens, select a PDF printer instead of your usual printer. If you're using Windows 10, you'll find Microsoft to PDF.
Then click on Print at the bottom.
A new window will open asking you to choose the name of the PDF file that will be created, as well as the folder where it will be saved.
You will then have a PDF document with the body of the message and below the list of all attachments.
You can then print this PDF document (select your paper printer).
What is well conceived is clearly stated,
And the words to express it come easily.

Hello @Alain31700,
It's a curious request because in Thunderbird, your sent messages and their attachments are already on your computer's hard drive, in the "Sent" folder or in another personal folder in Thunderbird where you can organize them. That's where you have a record, and you can make global backups of everything Thunderbird contains.
Why would you want to print it and put it in another folder on your computer?
If we scatter messages elsewhere on the computer outside of the email software, we're likely to create a lot of confusion when everything is designed for organization within the software itself.
See point 16 of this tutorial:

Hello SerBal22,
I believe that the primary purpose of this forum is to help each other. Comments on the usefulness of certain procedures are subjective.
That said, I still haven't resolved my issue that I will outline again:
If I print a message containing attachments to a "pdf", I will have:
- Subject
- From
- Date
- To
Then the body of the message,
But nothing appears at the bottom of the page, where the titles of my various attachments should be displayed.

Hello @Alain31700
I think that the primary purpose of this forum is to provide help between internet users.
We completely agree and mutual assistance is indeed the main reason for my presence here.
What I express are not "comments" but advice. It's up to you to decide whether they are useful to you or not.

Oh really?!
For me, if I print an email to PDF using the PDF printer, I have everything and the title of the attachment appears at the bottom of the page. For example, see what is outlined in red in this image:

Hello,
For those who are already using version 91, the problem has been resolved, among other things, in the latest update to 91.1.1.

Thank you for your feedback.
The printing procedure in the PDF is the one I used, but the result is not what I expected.
I recently installed Thunderbird, and there is probably a configuration setting I need to adjust that I am unaware of, a checkbox hidden in the maze of settings.
Printing the message in the "PDF" does display the header, the subject, and the body of the message, but in my case, the names of the attachments do not appear at the bottom of the message.
I don't have any explanations for now.
I am using version 78.14.0 of Thunderbird (so it’s up to date) and I don't have any special configuration.
I get in order:
- at the top: the subject (email title)
- the normal or full header
- the body of the message
- the list of attachments
