My headphones are making my phone glitch.

I am writing this message to let you know about a problem. I have a Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite 5G since November, and since yesterday, when I plug in my headphones into the "jack," my phone acts up. This means it pauses my music or videos constantly, restarts them, skips to other music/videos without me wanting it to, brings up the volume bar on my phone without me pressing any buttons, activates my Google Assistant, and sometimes changes or exits applications. And all of this happens either in succession or mixed together. My old phone also did this, but it was quite old, and I don't know if it was due to the headphones, but now it is definitely the headphones since it stops as soon as I unplug them, and my current phone I've had for less than a year. My headphones are very new; I haven't even had them for a month, and I hadn't used them for two days, and before those two days, everything was working fine. Do you think this is related to an update or a technical issue with my phone, or should I change my headphones? Thank you for reading, and I hope to have some solutions. Best regards,

Hello, I have exactly the same problem. I currently own a Huawei P10 Lite and for the past few days, I’ve been experiencing the same issue. My earbuds worked fine and then suddenly I can only hear from one side. When I’m on YouTube, it pauses my music, closes the app, etc. It's the same problem as you, and I don’t understand because I thought it was a phone issue or even an issue with the headphone jack, but my phone is less than a month old and it’s happening. It’s very strange, especially since I used to have a Huawei P9 and had the same problem. I've had to buy 5 pairs of earbuds in less than 6 months, to be honest. Anyway, did you find a solution to this problem?

Hello,
I had the same issue with all the Xiaomis I've had.
It turns out that it's simply the earphones that are not compatible with our dear Xiaomi.
Our Xiaomi devices are very finicky and sensitive when it comes to the jack port.
You need to get earphones from the same brand.
Some earphones other than Xiaomi will work, but they won't last long, and the phone will quickly let you know that it doesn't match.
A bit unsociable, these Xiaomis when it comes to connections. The same goes for charging and wireless chargers.
Don't worry, it took me 5 pairs of earphones purchased in less than 5 months to understand this. I also had to spend quite a bit of money.
If after buying yet another Xiaomi earphone it still doesn't work, it means the jack port is damaged. So off to customer service.
I hope I was able to clarify things for you.
