Hello,
When I connect my Bluetooth transmitter SONRU BT 1002 to my SAMSUNG TV UE28J4100 and pair it with my JBL TUNE BT 700 headphones via the RCA outputs of the TV, I get no sound, whereas via the headphone jack it works fine. I’d like to know if I’m not misconfiguring my TV, because the sound would be much better via the RCA since I could use the equalizer, which isn’t available via the headphone jack. Whether I select TV speakers or external speakers, there is no sound.
Thank you for your help.

Hello,
On the TV the audio outputs are the headphone output and the optical output...
The RCA jacks are inputs, so it’s normal that a Bluetooth transmitter doesn’t work if connected to the RCA.
Very hard to catch a black cat in a dark room.

RCA inputs are audio inputs for the TV
The optical connection doesn’t seem to work; I can’t push it into my TV
Which device have you tried to connect to the TV’s optical output?
Your SONRU BT 1002 Bluetooth transmitter has an optical input
the supplied optical cable should work, but be careful to remove the protective caps (plastic caps) that are on the jacks
For the optical output to work you need to go into the TV menu under "Sound" to enable it.
See manual on pages 61 and 62
MENU→ "Sound" → "Additional settings" → "ENTER"
search for "Digital audio output"
also see "Audio format" to choose the best setting (PCM generally)

Finally I had to do it in several steps for him to consider the optical cord and now it works.
The sound is noticeably better than with the headphone jack.
I had never used an optical cord and I must admit that you have to be quite skilled anyway to try to connect a cord with plugs on each side.
I’ll go to bed a little wiser tonight, thanks again.

So RCA is for connecting from the transmitter to wired speakers, then. The optical connection doesn’t seem to work apparently; I can’t push it into my TV (it won’t fit in the jack). Would the sound be better?
