    Hello anyway....

    Excerpt from https://www.lcd-compare.com/televiseur-PHI32PFL7962D-PHILIPS-32PFL7962D.htm

Since April 5, 2016, in France, the TNT channels are broadcast in a NON-compatible format with the PHILIPS 32PFL7962D.
This device is compatible with the MPEG2 format (used for SD channels), but incompatible with the new MPEG4 format used (commonly used for HD).

To make your television work, you will need to invest in an external HD TNT decoder (between €20 and €30 in specialty stores).

Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
    Especially when it’s not there...

    Hello everyone,

    I bought a decoder yesterday.

After connecting it, I can pick up 2 channels (Canal +-LCI, which are the only ones saved) with the remote control of the decoder.

But I can't record the other channels on the television.

When I start the automatic channel installation, the screen changes from blue to "snow" but doesn't save anything...

    Waiting for your good advice

    A problem with the board?

What are the references for this new decoder (Brand and model)?

The decoder is connected via coaxial cable to an antenna socket (individual house or building) and via HDMI to the television?

The television will not record any channels, it is not capable of that; only the decoder should find all the TNT channels.

The decoder is a model priced at €30, brand Strong SRT8209.

It is connected via antenna cable to a single-family home. It works with the 2 recorded channels.

When I ask on the decoder: Edit channel, it asks me for a 4-digit password!

It is completely abnormal that you are only receiving two channels from the TNT.

Have you correctly selected the right country (France)? And also set the "Antenna Power" to OFF?

I therefore invite you (after checking the points above) to start a channel search again from the decoder remote control, refer to the manual on page 15: 7.5 channel search.

When a code is requested, use the default code 1234... but for now, there is no reason, for example, to edit the channels.

Following all your good advice, the channels are memorized again and the television is working normally.

Thank you once again for your assistance.

    Best regards,
