Hello
I have a Canon TS6150 printer that I need to connect via WIFI so that my wife (on her computer) and I (on mine) can use it.
Currently, I have only found that I have to remove the printer and reinstall it every time I turn off the computer.
I am on Windows 10
If anyone has a better idea, I’m all ears
Thanks in advance!

Hello

Uninstall the printer from the Windows Settings.
Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners
Click on the printer's name and choose Remove.

The installation guide is here: https://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/6/0300028226/01/TS6100_GS_E12a-1_V1.pdf

Please install using the provided CD (paragraph 6-B)

The installation must be done on each computer using the printer.

Thank you for your responses
This morning I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and it's working. But I'm going to turn off my computer; When I turn it back on the printer won't be recognized anymore! Unless I repeat the above steps.

Go to the Task Manager (right-click on the taskbar).
Then go to the Startup tab.
Check that the Canon programs are launching at startup (except Quick Menu).

There may be others besides what appears in my screenshot.

Check on the box if the printer is properly connected to it.
Are you configuring the printer connected to a wireless network correctly?

I forgot to mention that the box remains active.

Response to prupala: I'm configuring the network on the printer correctly
Response to Pierr10: I do see the Canon line but it's marked as disabled
However, I restarted my computer and the printer is online
It's the eternal mystery of computing
Thanks in any case to both of you

Well, you need to activate it; otherwise, you'll run into issues with the scanner: During scans, the printer won't see the computer and won't be able to send the scanned files.

Right-click on the line and then "Activate."

There are mostly junk products, like this printer that is not designed at all to be used on a network.
A network printer cannot be configured with this kind of silly utility.
In this idea,
you should be able to set a static IP address on your printer and use that static IP address as a TCP/IP port in the ports tab of the printer properties.
If that's not possible, we can't talk about a network printer.

Pierr10: I activated
brupala: I agree, but nothing is more certain than a cable, and there is less and less equipment with RJ 45
Once again, thank you both, and if you don't mind, we'll leave it at that.

You are mistaken,
what I was talking about is not about ethernet, it’s the same for a wifi connection.
This kind of product has no flexibility for adaptation due to a user interface reduced to the minimum and conveyed through a PC app or sometimes a mobile app.
This severely diverges from the fundamentals of networking products, approaching connected objects where the user has no control over anything.

Hi,
Your PC has nothing to do with it, it's happening between the printer and your box.
choose connection to a wireless network
you need to install the printer on both PCs, of course.
