HP PC Power Supply

Hello.

I have an HP tower with a power supply like this one:

Larger than a "standard" power supply. It's possible that I may need to change it. If I get a standard-shaped one, is it likely to cause any problems? The connections seem identical, I imagine it won't.
And in this case, are there adapters available to fix it to the chassis? I couldn't find any when searching on Google.

The term is ATX for the standard power supply and DPS for the one in my HP computer?

Yes, it seems that it's just for HP workstations. If I understand correctly, you would like to replace your power supply with one of the same type but more powerful (mine is 400w). So there are indeed more powerful ones like 700w for Z440, for example:

Hello macbernic.
Just for your information, I just changed the power supply by taking an ATX with an 18 -> 20 pin adapter and it works very well. The only thing is that you have to tinker to make it fit on the chassis since the ATX is smaller than the original one from HP.

Does your power supply have these 3 connectors?:

I doubt you'll find an ATX power supply with that, otherwise, you might have to improvise..
What are the specifications of your computer?

Hello, on my new power supply I don't have a 4-pin connector but two 6-pin connectors.

How can I modify one of the 6-pin connectors to a 4-pin one?

I don't have the impression. In any case, I have another computer with an ATX power supply, and the connections, CPU, GPU, motherboard, etc., seem identical.

I also have an HP Z220 workstation and indeed the motherboard power supply is different; it has an 18-pin connector that does not match the ATX format which has 20 pins. Like this one:

I thought it was like the ATX for the motherboard, so I went ahead and took it apart and indeed, it’s 2 less.
I took the opportunity to take some photos of the connections.







So, no ATX for this computer. I can't find any reference for these power supplies and I have the impression that they are just for HP towers. Is there a reference and can we buy other brands?
Or else, is there an adapter, in addition to the chassis, for connecting the motherboard?

Mine is 400 W, and if I change the GPU, I'm worried it might be a bit tight.
With 700 W, I would be comfortable. The problem with the one you sent me in the link is that it won't fit; mine is like this:


But with the adapter, I will rather get an ATX (which I think I will pay a little less than an HP as well) and fix it as I can. In the end, it's just smaller than the HP one.
