Hello,
I have a little issue that wasn't really bothering me at first but being a bit of a perfectionist, it's starting to really P**S me off.
I downloaded some movies that by default open with VLC, but the problem is that some files have the VLC cone (on the left) while others have an image of the movie (on the right), like in the attached image.
I would like to, if possible, remove the movie image so that only the VLC cone remains for ALL the files.
Thank you for your help

Hello,
File Explorer Options
View Menu
Check the box
always show icons, never thumbnails
and apply and ok -
Sure, thanks, but I have a change regarding the folders.
Before checking the box
After checking the box
Is it possible to keep it like before but just with the VLC icons?
Thank you.-

'And if I want to add the movie cover instead of the VLC icon, how can I do that?'
The video file itself does not allow for such modifications.
Only the folder can be customized, and you can choose between displaying or not displaying the thumbnails.
'This way, I keep my folders as they are, and instead of the cones, I will have the movie covers, which will be better.'
In this case, what I can suggest is
That each movie or video be in a separate folder and not have all your movies in the same folder.
So, one video per folder
your movie + the cover of the movie in .ico format only (Image format: .ico)
From there
you choose whether or not to display the thumbnails
and you customize your folder with the icon of your movie cover
To summarize
When you open the folder where your movies are, you will have
only folders with the movie cover displayed
but each movie in a different folder and not all mixed up
To keep the icons of the folders that you have customized, be careful not to rename, move, or delete them but to keep them as they are.
If you want to rename a cover, you need to do it before the modification.

Hello,
===► Remove double blue arrows on Windows 10 icons
===► Appearance of blue arrows above icons
Open Windows Explorer, then click on "This PC" in the left tree view.
On the right side, right-click on the hard drive that contains the compressed folders and then click on properties.
At the bottom of the window that opens, you can uncheck the box corresponding to the compression of files on this disk and then click Apply/OK. The process may take more or less time depending on the size and type of your drive.
See you!
