Hello,
After installing a dazzle and successfully converting VHS tapes to mp4 video files, I uninstalled everything (6 or 7 files), I no longer needed them and they took up almost 9 GB.
Only MyDVDApp.exe and MultiCamCapture.exe remain after the uninstall. Neither Microsoft Add/Remove Programs nor CCleaner finds them to uninstall. Yet they exist because I can open them.
Question: what is the proper procedure to uninstall them?
Thank you
nialpi
Configuration: Windows / Firefox 85.0

Hello, reinstall Dazzle and uninstall it properly with Revo Uninstaller in Advanced Scan mode. Tutorial for Revo Uninstaller Here's how to proceed to uninstall a program in Advanced Scan mode. [image1] [image2] [image3] Accept the uninstallation of the program you want to uninstall and if there is an error message saying that the uninstallation is impossible, close the error message and continue the procedure. Check “Advanced Scan” and then click “Scan.” Click “Select All” and then “Delete”; if a second list appears, do the same, and once everything is deleted, click “Finish”—a restart may be required. . -- bazfile Moderator/Security Contributor. Good evening Bazfile,
Here is a pedagogically perfect response.
Revo Uninstaller is in place, but the dazzle will not be reinstalled for another week, cannot before.
I will perform the uninstallation operation, cleanly, of dazzle, at that time.
I take this opportunity offered to denounce Pinnacle (bought by Corel) for this principle of forcing the hand dishonestly, by tying non-uninstallable apps to a utility.
Thank you,

Hello,
As mentioned above, I reinstalled Dazzle in order to try to uninstall it cleanly with Revo Uninstaller.
The operation took about 15 minutes because Revo didn’t allow me to uninstall Dazzle in one go. I had to go folder by folder, and there are 7 or 8 of them.
Once finished, the apps: MyDVDApp.exe and MultiCamCapture.exe are still present and do not appear in Revo.
Then I ran “tourner” CCleaner which removed more than 3000 (?) files with Pinnacle at root, which Revo should have removed.
MyDVDApp.exe and MultiCamCapture.exe are still there!
Do I really have to deal with them, since they occupy about 2 GB uselessly?
Strange all that, I must not be very smart.

To get an overview of your PC:
Download FRST. Once downloaded, place it on the desktop and then open it, let it update if needed, then uncheck the registry option. You will have this:
Click on Analyse. At the end of the analysis you will have two text files on the desktop FRST and Addition. Send these reports to https://pjjoint.malekal.com/ see this tutorial paragraph Send the analysis reports to pjjoint, then give the two links generated by Pjoint in your next message.

Hello,
The link:
https://pjjoint.malekal.com/files.php?id=FRST_20210204_y14s6w12x11f7
As a message there is: Automatic analysis is temporarily disabled, sorry!
I’m not sure if I did it correctly, we’ll see,

After checking, here are the folder locations:
C:\Program Files\Pinnacle Studio for Dazzle\Dazzle MyDVD
C:\Program Files\Corel\MultiCam Capture Lite
nialpi-
With the report added I see clearer, you will execute as indicated the following script; once the script is executed and the PC reboots the software Dazzle MyDVD and MultiCam Capture Lite which you no longer want will disappear from the list of installed programs and you will be able to uninstall them with Revo Uninstaller.
Procedure to do in the indicated order:
1- Open FRST
2 - Copy the entire script that is in the box below:Start::
CreateRestorePoint:
CloseProcesses:
Dazzle MyDVD (HKLM\...\{33FC564B-23F9-4B28-9CD0-CF3366290FA3}) (Version: 3.0.121.0 - Company name) Hidden
Dazzle MyDVD (HKLM-x32\...\{F5186F91-F09A-4F6C-A5B3-AFCCBC834F38}) (Version: 3.0 - Corel) Hidden
MultiCam Capture Lite (HKLM\...\{0E4CA68C-72C3-4B01-AE33-8854AC00D17B}) (Version: 1.1.5.506 - Corel Corporation) Hidden
End::
3- Once the script has been copied click on Fix.
Let the repair run; once it is finished you will be prompted to restart your PC, do it as soon as it is asked, see below.
Then once your computer restarts:
4- You will have a Fixlog file on your desktop; send it via https://pjjoint.malekal.com/ then paste the link generated by Pjoint in your next message.
5- Now you should be able to uninstall Dazzle MyDVD and MultiCam Capture Lite.

If I understand correctly, I enter the script indicated in the FRST window, OK?
I trust you, with my eyes closed, it's in my skills that I doubt. -
Is that how it is done? Is that what I call the FRST window.
Je préfère poser une question que de faire une connerie-
Read and do what is indicated: you copy the script and you click on "correct" that's all https://www.commentcamarche.net/infos/25923-faire-un-copier-coller/#copier-coller-un-texte
it's really simple where did you see that I say to put the script in the FRST window

Okay, okay, let’s not get annoyed. In the URL above, there is "copy-paste"
Copy/paste some text, I think I can do it.
But once your script is copied, where do I paste it? -
Well, there, it's clear.
Tomorrow will be another day to continue, in late morning.
Good night, and thank you,

Hello
I have just carried out the procedure, here is the link:

I hope that’s it.
Now I’m going to try to remove Dazzle MyDVD and Multicam Capture Lite.

Hello,
I am disappointed with Pinnacle's behavior.
Reminder: at the start, I simply wanted to convert a few VHS tapes to mp4 files. I asked CCM and I got the answer: use a Dazzle.
Said, done, I buy the Pinnacle Dazzle, install the application with DVD on my PC, convert my VHS tapes, all of it in 2 days. I really appreciated the speed and simplicity of the operation.
After realizing that what I had installed on my PC occupied about 9 GB (the SSD being 128 GB), I decided to uninstall the Dazzle app since I no longer needed it.
This uninstallation should have been easy!
But with the Dazzle application, there were, in reality, 8 Pinnacle apps installed. With the help of CCleaner I was able to uninstall 6, but 2 resisted and became "invisible," even to Revo Uninstaller.
Fortunately, bazfile was there, with his skill and patience, with his advice I managed to uninstall them, but I still hold a grudge against Pinnacle. I know Pinnacle now belongs to Corel, and Corel, I know, a little.
For 5 years I have been editing videos with the "Corel Video Studio X9" application; it is simple and fits my needs. I have had to uninstall it twice, I never encountered any difficulties.
Let the "boxes" around IT pull rank with each other (and they do not deny it), I get that, but I cannot stand the average user paying the price.
I strongly advise anyone who reads this post to think twice before purchasing Pinnacle equipment; seriousness, integrity, customer respect, in short ethics, all of that seems unknown in this company.
