ThinkPad E470 / 0187 : Erreur d'accès aux données EAIA

Hello everyone and best wishes for 2021!

I have a little problem with my Thinkpad E740 laptop. It turns on but 3 different error messages appear (when I try to restart it):
"0187: EAIA data access error.
2200: Machine Type and Serial Number are invalid.
Press Esc to continue or F1 to enter Setup."

"0187: EAIA data access error.
Press Esc to continue or F1 to enter Setup."

"0187: EAIA data access error.
2200: Machine Type and Serial Number are invalid.
2201: Machine UUID is invalid.
Configuration changed - restart the system."
(that’s when I reset the ThinkPad Setup to default).

I tried restarting it again, but the problem hasn’t magically disappeared (not surprisingly). It sometimes offers to restore (with no success) after the automatic restoration.
By interrupting the normal startup, it offers me:
ESC to resume normal startup (which doesn’t work)
F1 to enter BIOS Setup Utility
(I’ve tried to understand, but I have no idea what this BIOS is and these settings... well, I didn’t dare touch anything, I wouldn’t know what to do; I just reset the default settings but with no success either.)
F10 to diagnostic hardware
F12 to choose a temporary startup device
.

By pressing F12, I unsuccessfully attempted all 3 options in the Boot Menu: Windows Boot Manager, ATA HDDO: WDC WDS240G2GOA_OOJH30 or PCI LAN.

I am completely lost; I tried to find a solution on forums but I don’t understand anything (I have the basic level of someone born with computers but who doesn’t know much more than clicking on icons and browsing the internet). I would like to take my computer to a repair shop, but I am in lockdown and don’t speak the language (I am abroad for my studies and working remotely with my personal computer...welcome to the world of academic research :D). So any help would be extremely valuable to me!

Have a great day!

Carla

Hello Edawards_0352,

Thank you very much for your prompt response.
Unfortunately, it still displays the error message "0187: EAIA data access error."

Thank you!
Carla

Hello,
It smells like a hard drive problem that is starting to weaken.

What year is the PC from?

Hello!
It's been 3 years, but it was unused for 2 years while being repaired...

Thank you very much,

Hello,
2 years in repair, or the person forgot to plug in a cable.

Can we see this PC in a photo if you don't mind?

Hello,
It was for a keyboard change.
Of course not, what should I take a photo of? Keyboard screen?

Thank you very much,
Carla

Under the keyboard, there is indeed a cable to reconnect, but if the keyboard works, there are no issues.

The photos are to see what you can touch and to access certain elements of the P.C.

Check your hard drive with this software:

If the color is blue or yellow, it means no problems detected.
